Born in 1979. She was previously engaged in management of space creation projects, including stores and events, at Tanseisha Co., Ltd. In 2009, she left her position and moved to the UK, where she began producing her works. After graduating from Central Saint Martins, she completed a master degree programme in illustration at Bournemouth Art University in 2012. She primarily uses paper to produce works which alternate between two-dimensional and three-dimensional and straddle the boundaries between craft, illustration, and art. She is interested in the special qualities of paper such as folding, clipping, and layering, and pursues illustrations which portray the presence of materials and objects with greater tangibility. She also produces installations and other such works at domestic and overseas artist-in-residence programmes.
In 2016 she moved to Europe and now based in Netherlands.
1979年生まれ。（株）丹青社にて店舗やイベントなどの空間創造に従事。プロジェクトマネジメントを行う。2009年に退職し渡英、制作活動を始める。Central St. Martinsを経て、2012年Bournemouth Art University Illustration修士課程修了。
主に紙を使い、2次元と3次元を行き来する作品を、クラフト/イラストレーション/アートの領域にまたがる作品を制作。紙の特性である「折る」「切り抜く」「重ねる」などに興味をもち、 素材やモノの存在感、より身体的に捉えられるイラストレーションを追求している。また、国内外のアーティスト・イン・レジデンスでもインスタレーションなどの制作を行う。
2016年より欧州に拠点を移す。現在オランダ在住。

アルプス山脈を望む南ドイツのミュンヘンを拠点に、紙を使った作品を制作する彼女がこのスタイルで制作を始めたきっかけは、社会人を経てから留学したロンドンにありました。
「自然の中の光と影とか、夕暮れ時に樹々がだんだん物体から影に変化していく様子とか、そういった平面的な感覚と空間的な感覚の関係性に惹かれています」と語る彼女の作風は、まさに『浮世絵的なフラットな奥行き』が魅力です。
今回のムービーでは、Macでデータを起こすところから、陰翳と奥行きにこだわった撮影シーンに至るまで、彼女の作品制作の様子をたっぷりと追いました。
