After graduating from Musashino Art University, Miwa worked at an advertising creative production as an art director and a graphic designer. Then she moved to Sweden and graduated from Konstfack (MFA Textile Design).
Currently, she is living in Tokyo and working as a freelance designer and illustrator. With her background of textile and graphic design, she works for variety of design commissions and art installations utilizing her sketching technique that was derived from inspirational play-like art & craft sessions including cutout art and collage works.
武蔵野美術大学卒業後、メーカーやデザインオフィスで多数の広告制作に携わった後、スウェーデン国立芸術工芸デザイン大学に留学。
帰国後はサーフェイスパターンを主なフィールドに、フリーランスのデザイナー／イラストレーターとして活動。 切り絵やコラージュなどから生まれる遊びの延長のようなスケッチ手法で偶然性を誘い込むことを楽しむ。
