Makoto Oozu is a designer who uses cross-stitching, a drawing technique using embroidery made of a repetition of stitched x's.
The dotted pictures made of colorful fabric and threads resemble 80's digital icons and 8-bit culture related visuals such as retro video games and techno-pop. Makoto's subject matter includes monsters, dinosaurs and skulls, and his work has been used for many different products, including watches, hats, bracelets and cushions.
