ユニークなキャラクター達が登場する作品を描くICHASUは、幼少の頃から米国のアニメ専門チャンネル『カートゥーン ネットワーク』と日本の漫画に囲まれ、呼吸をするようにそれらの文化を吸収して育った。彼女は今でもアニメや漫画のキャラクターに囲まれて創作している。

Style
アーティストとして作品制作をする際は、下絵から定規やコンパスを駆使して緻密に画面を構築し、手塗りとは思えないほどの技で均一に仕上げていくが、イラストレーションでは手描きの温かみが残るようフリーハンドで描いていく。

Profile
東京都出身。2011年東京藝術大学美術学部デザイン科卒業、2013年東京藝術大学美術研究科デザイン専攻修士課程修了。
飄々としたキャラクター達が縦横無尽に舞う、カラフルでPOPな世界観を次々と繰り出すICHASU。彼女の淀みなく溢れるアイディアは、マンガから大判のキャンバスまで媒体を自在に横断する。
彼女が描くキャラクターは人間ではなく、モンスターでもなければ性別もない。色も形も大きさも異なるキャラクター達が仲良く共存する、ピースフルでインクルーシブな世界を創造する。
強いモチーフと色が詰め込まれた賑やかな構成でありながらも、構図と配色を巧みにコントロールすることで、どの作品も重心の取れた確かな佇まいを感じさせる。アーティストとしても活躍中。
Born in Tokyo. Graduated from (MA) Design at Tokyo University of the Arts in 2013.
She continuously draws her colourful pop world of nonchalant characters boundlessly "dancing" all over the canvas. Her abundance of ideas cross over media, from manga to large scale canvas.
The characters she portrays are not human, they are not monsters and they have no gender. She creates a peaceful, inclusive world where characters of different colours, shapes and sizes coexist amicably.
Although they look bustling with strong motifs and bold colours, each artwork keeps the balance and certain existence by controlling the compositions and the colour-combinations.
She is known as not only an illustrator but also an artist.
